Monika and Wojtek is an unusual couple. Both are disabled, but they had a healthy daughter, Ula. They love and support each other in difficult times. For them, every day is fight for a normal life. She is blind psychologist, he – a computer scientist with cerebral paralysis. They both thirty years old, met on an online dating site for disabled people. Monika says: He wrote to me that he sputters and has problem with walking. I wrote back that it might be a problem, because I’m blind. How we can communicate? Then Wojtek said that we definitely will do alright.
ALINA MROWIŃSKA
Director and screenwriter of documentaries, TV and press journalist. Graduated from the Polish Philology Department and the Post-Graduate Journalism Studies at the Warsaw University. Among her numerous awarded films, the most popular are “To Wake up Ola”, “Magda, Love and Cancer”, “The Chase”, and “The Unbreakable”, all presented at the PFFA.
