Three novella films: “Cross” (awarded with a medal for his heroic deeds, a boy returns to his village on a short furlough after the war), “Dog” (the inhabitants of the land conquered by Germans, suffering from war trauma, consider the dog’s loyalty to be equal with Nazi fierceness and training) , “Widow” (the inhabitants of a surrealistic town located somewhere on the “Recovered Land” are striving to bring back stability and safety).
An attempt to address the issue of war in the most realistic aesthetics, devoid of symbols and metaphors. The mythology of the Polish School is reduced to the everyday awareness of a simple man and approached with bitter irony.
