A sentimental journey back to the ’70s and’ 80s, when Chicago’s Jackowo neighborhood was inhabited by Poles. The Polish musicians who came to Chicago and created this rich music scene tell this story. Unable to work in Poland, they came to Chicago where they performed in the many clubs Milwaukee Avenue. The film features such icons of the Polish music scene as Krzysztof Krawczyk, Stan Borys, Urszula, Bożena Hutnicka and Zbigniew Bernolak.
ADRIAN PRAWICA
Director, producer, and cinematographer. Born in 1980 in Łódź. Residing in the Chicagoland area, he is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago. Adrian specializes in documentary and advertising work in the United States and abroad. He has been active in the Chicago film scene since 2005, and is known for his documentary works dealing with Chicago history.
