This film tells the story of pre-war star, Eugeniusz Bodo, one of the most popular actors of Polish cinema and cabaret. Also a director, producer, and businessman, he was the subject of gossip and scandals, a heartthrob for women and an idol for men. He played in almost 30 films, and was the star of cabaret theaters such as: Morskie Oko and Qui Pro Quo. Bodo also recorded many musical hits that became Polish standards, still popular to this day.
Born in 1951 in Warsaw. Producer and director. He received his Ph. D. in organic chemistry in 1981, then graduated from in drama directing from the National Drama School in Warsaw in 1986. He directed a number of plays for TV theatre and three operas for the Warsaw Chamber Opera. He is founder of Akson StudioHe, Tilsa and Arka Film companies, specializing in the production for TV and theater. His companies have made 150 productions, including adaptations and original dramas. He is a member of Polish Film Academy and European Film Academy. In 2013 he was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
