Cast
Dust is a study of the road that every human body must take that begins with the moment of death and ends with the funeral. In Jakub Radej’s film, the consecutive stages of this journey (mortuary, morgue, and cemetery) are juxtaposed with the bureaucratic accounting and disposition of the property of the deceased. This cool recording of the fate of material objects that had belonged to the deceased is presented in an open form, which suggests questions about the meaning of life, and it reflects on the loneliness of people who have no one to bid them farewell.
