Edward, Dawid’s father, was a ship’s captain was home for only a few days a year. Now, even though Dawid has his own family, he decides to care for his father who has Alzheimer’s. Edward’s rapidly progressing illness proves an overwhelming obstacle to rebuilding the relationship between the father and the son. Even though this should be the time for them to improve their relationship the illness makes it impossible. Every day Edward has fewer and fewer of the memories that Dawid hoped would fill in the gaps in his past. How much of his present life will Dawid sacrifice to learn from his father’s past and to share his father’s last moments of consciousness and?
ALEK PIETRZAK
Born in 1992in Płock. Director and cowriter. Graduated from Music School in Płock studying piano, and Directing at the Warsaw Film School. Currently studying at the University of Warsaw in the Artes Liberales department. His diploma movie “Strong Coffee Is Not That Bad” has won many awards at various festivals in Poland and abroad. He worked as 1st AD, 2nd Unit Director, or AD on “Obywatel” by J. Stuhr, “Bridge of Spies” by S. Spielberg, “Planet Single” by M. Okorn, and “True Crimes” by A. Avranas.
