A film about love, recovered after many years. Protagonists are Andrzej Budzynski (90 years) and Barbara Żugajewicz (87 years). They were engaged to be married during the Second World War. During the Warsaw Uprising they lost contact with each other. Basia thought that Andrew was dead; he also taught that she is dead. After the war, Andrew managed to escape from the country to the United States, where he worked career and where he lives today. Basia stayed in Poland, in her family home in Klarysewo near Warsaw. They both had families: Andrew had a wife and children, and Basia was married twice. Now, for many years widowed they lived alone, each in their end of the world. Until last year. Andrew found online interview with Basia concerning its underground activities during the Second World War. He sent the first letter, and so it all began again after 72 years.
