Set in the occupied Warsaw, the film tells the story of the mission carried out by the student underground resistance group of Home Army to execute the hated SS General Franz Kutchera., an initiator of public executions. A group of young people, led by Zawada, stole a German car. Marta made at home grenades. Ryś inspected the street in front of the headquarters. The assassination ends with a success, but the cost is high…
JERZY PASSENDORFER
Born in Wilno (now Lithuania) in 1923, died in Skolimów in 2003. Screenwriter, actor and film director, specializing in films about the German occupation of Poland. Graduated from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (1951). In Czechoslovakia he made several educational films. In Poland since 1953 he worked as an assistant director of feature films, and since 1957 as an a director. In 1974-79, director of the Polish Institute in Vienna. In 1980-83, director of the International Relations Office of TVP. In the 80s he served as deputy dean for Artistic Affairs at the Department of Radio and Television University of Silesia in Katowice. Co-founder and Vice President of the Polish Filmmakers Association. In 1996-1997, Member of Polish Parliament.
